It was not an indicator of how good the prospect of our 1st gold medal since 1987 Sea Games against 160th world ranks,Lesotho.
There are lot of an improvements and few things need to be fix before we are up against the stronger team like Thailand and Vietnam known for their fast tempo.
Our players especially midfielders need to close up quickly especially when they were attacked and lost possession during lauching attack to the opponent.
It was obviously so much gap between defenders and midfielder which none of our players that played as holding midfielders was there to stop opponent players when they able to break our attack. Or is it,we did not have any holding midfielders last night?
That i will let our head coach,Mr.Rajagobal to analyse and answer it for me.
The scoreline, yes was very impressive but that was against lowly ranked,8th lower from us in term of ranking. How about if we face stronger opposition like Vietnam and Thailand?
Indonesia and Singapore though we had beaten them by 1-0 and 3-0 respectively, still we cannot
put them behind.
Next match? Uzbekistan,in Asian Cup Qualification match. Malaysia now sits at the bottom of table following humble defeat 0-5 to UAE at our own ground few months back when the team were under the then head coach,B.Sathianathan.
