Cardiff City will open youth development centre in Malaysia

Cardiff City will open youth development centre in Malaysia next September

Cardiff City 2011-2012 jersey adorns the Malaysia slogan, which will be carried on the front of shirt, along with smaller versions on the back of the shirt and the shorts.

Cardiff City and Malaysia has developed further with the agreement to open a development centre in Putrajaya beginning in early September.

Championship club Cardiff City has formed a partnership with the South-East Asian champions through the inclusion of the name 'Malaysia' on the club jersey this season whose the owner of the club is Malaysian successful entrepreneur of Berjaya Group Tan Sri Vincent Tan.

Cardiff president Chan Tien Ghee said that the Championship club would open 1Malaysia Cardiff City (1MCC) development centres for three age groups, namely U-12, U-14 and U-16.

The purpose of this program is to provide opportunities to young players to understand about organised and structured football programmes.

Thien Ghee added, apart from Putrajaya, Cardiff also plans to build a branch of development centre in Malacca, Kelantan, Johor and Pahang.
