The playmaker,Safiq Rahim

National football team captain and Selangor midfielder Safiq Rahim has been linked with a move to either Persib Bandung or Persija Jakarta after his contract with Selangor expires in November.

The national captain has been asked time and again whether he is considering a move to Indonesia but insists he is only thinking about his current club.

"Yes, several clubs from Indonesia are interested in me but they have not met me officially. I prefer to focus on the Malaysia Cup," added Safiq.

To date, he also been linked with a move to Kelantan due to recently he made comments on how he respect the
fanaticism of Kelantanese fans.

If he decides to ply his trade in Indonesia Super League (ISL) he will become second national players after Safee Sali playing there.

Am_7riel strongly welcome more players who dare to challenge themselves able to play abroad to diversified their playing style rather than like forever playing in local league which is going nowhere to raise our national football league unless revampt is happening soon to upgrade its competitiveness.

Realistic market to our football players are league around Southeast Asian and sooner to target playing in more competitive league like J-League in Japan or K-League in Korea before dreaming playing in Europe or South America continent.

Is there any of our football players bold enough to take challenge playing in V-League (Vietnam) or in Thai Football League?

These league recently have attracted many star studded players who will have around 1 or 2 years before retired to play in their league and sponsors are pouring into their league.

As for note, Denilson who had played with one team in V-League and most recent Liverpool Legend,Robbie Fowler who signed for Thai's champions,Muang Thong FC.
