Kumaahran's Cruzeiro dream dashed away

All hopes to see first Malaysian playing football with Brazilian look very far yet to near when Kumaahran snubbed by the club after 3 months trial stint at the club ground at Bello Horizonte. He was invited for the 3 months trial after impressing during trial last year.

Cruzeiro representative in Malaysia,Jaino Matos who is also one of the trainer at Penang CRC where Kumaahran was spotted says, "It was unfortunate for him when he got injured due to intensity of the training and by that would not be able to secure contract with Cruzeiro".


Kumaahran with another Malaysian youngsters Sanjeet Dinesh during their training stint with Cruzeiro.
The latter however was not in position to secure a contract and only came to gain exposure.

Kumaahran paved way to the Finals

S. KUMAAHRAN played a pivotal role in the Ministry of Education Under-17 Youth Cup semi-finals, first leg when he scored one goal before setting up another for SMK Mutiara Impian of Penang to stage a comeback 2-1 win over SMK Syed Hassan of Perlis.

His team however was first being trailed by a goal in the 13th minute.But after second half-introduction, he looked alive after being switched from the left wing to central attacking role in the second half.

The 16-year-old equalised for SM Mutiara Impian three minutes after the break by curling home a free kick into the top right corner. And in the 64th minute, Kumaahran floated in a perfect pass for Mohamad Jafri Firdaus Chew to blast into the net for SMK Mutiara Impian's winning goal.
